Lyn Dockter-Pinnick, Board Chair
Born and raised in western North Dakota, Lyn Dockter-Pinnick lived in Minot until 2005, where she was the Center Director at the Quentin N. Burdick Job Corps Center. Lyn received her Bachelor’s Degree from Minot State University and her Master’s in Counseling from the University of North Dakota. Lyn was a high school English teacher at Dunseith and Parshall High Schools and worked for about seven years at Nueta, Hidatsa, Sahnish Community College (formerly Fort Berthold Community College). She has also worked for MINACT (Minorities in Action), the largest minority – owned contractor in Job Corps. Lyn has been an activist all her life. She first marched against the Vietnam War in the early 70’s. Currently, Lyn is on the board of the Red River Valley League of Women Voters and is the group facilitator for the BadAss Grandmas for Democracy, a member of the Fargo – Moorhead Moms Demand Action, and serves on the Forum Reader’s Board. She and her husband, Rick, operated a B&B near Menahga, MN, until 2021, when they moved to Moorhead. A proud parent and grandparent, Lyn and Rick have three sons and three grandchildren.
