Katie Dachtler, Board Member
Katherine So Dachtler, MSW, LCSW, LICSW, PhD(c) (She/Her), is a therapist and community builder whose work advances equity, belonging, and collective well-being. As founder of Intersectional Resources, LLC, she partners with organizations on transformative training in diversity, inclusion, and implicit bias, helping institutions turn values into lasting change. In her clinical practice at Dachtler Therapy, PLLC, she offers culturally responsive, adoption-humble care rooted in affirming historically excluded identities. A University of North Dakota graduate twice over, Katie is now a PhD candidate in Change Leadership for Equity and Inclusion at the University of Central Arkansas. She was the first person of color elected to the Grand Forks School Board and the first woman of color elected to the Grand Forks City Council, where she championed Indigenous Peoples Day and local hate crimes ordinances. A 2022 Arc of Justice Award recipient and 2023 Bush Fellow, she continues leading through service across her community.
